LG handset running Windows Phone 7 discovered!March 2nd, 2010 - 10:57 pm by Wajiha H.
Well there isn’t any hope for handsets running Windows Phone 7, to be appearing in the market before the holiday season but we have caught some images of the very first handset using a Windows Mobile 7. This is a QWERTY-enabled touchscreen device, as expected, and was demonstrated by none other than Aaron Woodman, Microsoft's director of Mobile Communication Business. The demonstration alone does not prove anything about when this device is going to be launched.
![]() Of course it will certainly complete the Chassis 2 requirements posted by Microsoft the other day; which essentially means that there must be 1 GHz or faster CPU inside of it and the screen resolution must be WVGA at least. The other things that this LG device comes equipped with are a 5 megapixel camera, microUSB connector and a 3.5mm audio jack. There are chances that this device that we are talking about is basically the much awaited LG Apollo. In that case we should also be expecting 720p video recording, 1GB of RAM and an AMOLED display. The body is not that thick, just a bit thicker than the Google Nexus One. You can check out this short video demonstrating the first Windows Phone 7 device in action.
