HTC HD2 fails to qualify for a Windows Phone 7 upgradeMarch 2nd, 2010 - 11:25 pm by Wajiha H.
HTC HD2 have been using WinMo since ages and these very smartphones have been denied a Windows Phone 7 upgrade because they didnít come up to the standard. Why? What is the standard? Well apparently itís just that HD2 packs five hardware buttons instead of only 3. How ridiculous! The HTC HD2 has a zippy 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a huge capacitive touchscreen display of high resolution and lots of other things significant but the verdict is still the same.
Microsoft apparently is lacking some signoificant hardware components, due to which HD2 had to skip the upgrade to Microsoft's latest OS for mobile devices.
There are many speculations and of course rumours surrounding this important news but of course as per policy, Microsoft remain silent on the actual full hardware requirements for Windows Phone 7 OS so speculations are abundant.
