We have been around long enough to know that Wi-Fi tethering is something that can be done by some mobiles themselves while some have to get connected to the PC Suite for Internet sharing and some just can't do it. But lately Sagem Orga and Telefonica have come up with a SIM card, dubbed SIMFi, which will be able to accomplish Wifi tethering all by itself! This unique sim card is compatible with almost all existing phones and it acts as a Wi-Fi router that any device can connect to.
![]() You will be needing a phone in which 3G is possible to source the data connection. WiFi tethering comes afterwards of course. A lot more will be known about this in the MWC of course. We just want that a few very significant questions about SIMFi are answered as well. We all want to know about how the battery will be affected with the inclusion of this card of course. There are many people who will be willing to buy this card especially the ones with high data requirements. If you get a SIMFi card with a data plan and you will be able to use it both for your phone and laptop/netbook. You wont even have to worry about PC Suites or tethering hacks.
