Mobile World Congress 2010 finally concludes

February 20th, 2010 - 10:00 pm by Wajiha H.
So the much talked about MWC 2010 finally ended this week; this was one event that has kept the whole mobile phones community completely engaged during the past week. Due to which it can safely be assumed that it was a frantic yet an interesting week, full of much anticipated and interesting announcements and launches. Barcelona hosted the event and what a spectacular host they have been; just like always.
This time around the GSM was extremely huge with almost more than 49,000 visitors from 200 countries attending the 2010 GSMA Mobile World Congress. Also this event looked forward to having almost 1,300 exhibiting companies whereas it occupied more than 56,000 net square meters of exhibition and business meeting space.

The weirdest thing was however the inability of Nokia to come up with anything at all. There were rumours all around that there will be something launched by the Finnish company but it never happened. Now Samsung, on the other hand, was the only company to present a ground-breaking mobile phone (a new OS and a new type of display). But then the interest level in this phone wasn’t that good.
We did our level best to bring you as much coverage of the whole thing as possible. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
