According to a recent announcement by the company according to the company blog, Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro is now being shipped to selected markets around the world. This Symbian S60 is one phone many have been awaiting for long now and it seems that now they can enjoy it after all. The very fact that Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro is being shipped in large quantities is proof enough of the fact that it was much anticipated.

Android 2.2 Froyo already ported to Nexus One

Ok since we are on the subject of Android Froyo today; I have just come to know of some rumours according to which Froyo 2.2 has already been ported to the Nexus One and the HTC Droid Eris. Too hard to believe I know but it has been heard that (an Italian website) has managed to get the files you need to port Froyo 2.2 onto your Nexus One and they have put them up on their website for downloading too!

The Android 2.2 Froyo has been announced but the only confirmed set to be getting the update is Google’s own, Nexus One. Of course this is one update that all Android users would do anything in the world to get! But it seems that HTC smartphones will be amongst the luckier ones as it is now being heard that all HTC beauties released in 2010 will soon be getting the much loved Froyo update; probably by the end of this year!

We know that Google has been able to do some marvelous stuff in the past. Those of you who don’t seem to notice this, the very playable Pac-Man logo by Google which took us by surprise a couple of days back, is a good example. We are now getting the news that Nexus One might soon get an Android 2.2 Froyo update and if you don’t really want to sit back and wait for them to do it for you, this update is available for manual download too! unveiled! A dream come true!!

At last, the day we have all been waiting for! Facebook has just launched its new mobile friendly site, What is so special about this site? Well this has specially been made for the 100 million users who are accessing Facebook from their mobiles; it loads fast and is absolutely free! What could be better than that! But a little explanation, the zero-charges facility is provided to only those customers who are utilizing the services of some specific operators.

Google’s latest version of Android, Froyo, was announced only recently. This is one update that people were extremely excited about, so probably everyone knew about it even before it was properly announced by Google. There are many things that Froyo boasts of, a better speed, better performance and of course some additional features that the previous version of Android didn’t have. HTC has specifically introduced the new Wildfire edition for the European users. Also a relatively affordable phone complete with the HTC Sense interface slicked over the top. You might wonder why you should invest in this. Well maybe for the new app-sharing widget that works on Twitter, texts or email all; something that was noticeably lacking in the previous handsets. Of course some say that this new offering is merely a smaller version of the popular Desire.

New Android handsets to be running Tegra 2

NVIDIA's CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang has recently announced that some Android phones running Tegra 2 might be gracing the mobile phones industry by the end of the year although he didn’t say much about which companies would be behind them. Out of those expected handsets one might be manufactured by none other than Apple. He also said that most probably the second-generation Tegra will be amalgamated with the third-generation Android for maximum success.

Motorola MB511 FlipOut to be available in around a month!

Motorola still haven't come out officially with FlipOut; their much hyped up latest Android-running offering. But according to rumours, this smartphone will be released anytime soon now, probably in a month or so. One thing is much confusing though, Motorola MB511 has appeared in Brazil for a couple of times now which might mean that Brazil is the only country which will actually be graced by the handset’s release! But let’s keep our fingers crossed and see what happens.

Samsung T959 probably coming to T-Mobile

A lot is being said about Samsung’s pride and joy, T959 but not much on how the handset actually looks. Features of the phone are very much like the original Galaxy S e.g. the presence of Android, TouchWiz 3.0 UI, a 4 inch AMOLED touchscreen display, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi. But now we have also heard that the Bluetooth SIG has recently approved the Samsung SCH-T959, and like all Samsung mobiles under this series, SCH-T959 will also be headed to T-Mobile.

We are lucky enough to be living in an age where affordable phones, that too smartphones, are available oh so easily! Nokia C5 happens to be one of those. It is a Symbian-running low cost smartphone which will also give you voice guided navigation. What better than that! It also comes with a lifetime license and the cost is literally zero. Whatever it is that makes you think about buying this handset, you will surely not be disappointed.

Every other company is offering an affordable touch phone these days. And so it is a dense market now. Samsung comes up with another affordable phone now, Samsung S5620 Monte. This is a good-looking phone which offers connectivity, an awesome touch experience and social networking features. Apart from all this, it is just plain old stylish! We have managed to collect the pros and cons of the handset for people who are just too anxious to get the phone!

Nexus One online sales to be reduced

Nexus One has been out for around four months or so but needless to say, the sales have been but disappointing, therefore Google is now rethinking about its distribution policy. The sales were basically based on online stores, which, people in general are not very comfortable with. So the sales were naturally not up to the mark. They have now decided to just put a stop to the whole thing and shift the sets to the more traditional outlets.

This is one phone that has kept everyone waiting for long now. And now it seems that the day is finally nearing when this phone will be generally available in the market! It is being said that the shipping will start somewhere at the end of May and so pre-orders are now being accepted in the UK. This phone had created such a powerful hype even before it was actually announced that people are taking tremendous interest in its arrival now.

REVIEW: LG GT540 Optimus

The LG GT540 is he sort of phone that does not get mass public attention, but people who want a change to their existing smartphone would find it to be an excellent phone nonetheless. It is smart and is low maintenance; heaven for people who are fed up with the bulky smartphones. The target of the LG GT540 is definitely not the top. It will be aiming the more sensible market instead. The phone boasts good connectivity, awesome design, with the right amount of style; we can see it creating a market for itself.

We have everything in the new Nokia 6700 slide with its modern looks and impeccable smartphone abilities and it comes at an affordable price. Now with this phone we have style plus affordability both at the same time! This is supposed to be an attention-grabbing phone and the main intention of the company with it is mass appeal. Now if you remember Nokia released a bar shaped phone last year too which was pretty well-received by people in general. This is supposed to be smart version of the same phone.

Quarter 1 Report : Samsung

We have been covering some major mobile companies and their financial reports for the first quarter and now we have Samsung’s results in our hands. Samsung has been going pretty smoothly for the last couple of years and after seeing their result for this quarter it seems that they are all set to have a pretty nice time even this year! If you remember they had a pretty tremendous Q4 last year; and their opening this year is also fabulous as the Q1 results indicate.

The Motorola Shadow; a mobile that was even rumored to become the next Google Nexus Two; has come out with yet some more rumours i.e. the device is now said to be called Motorola DROID2, with MB810 as a model number. But as they say, these are just rumours and we cannot say anything with absolute certainty unless is announced by the company itself. But for the time being, when these are neither confirmed nor rejected by Motorola, let’s go through them for the sake of pure enjoyment.

LG out with surprising Q1 results

LG has recently come out with the financial results for first quarter of 2010. We were of course expecting a much better report than the one we have seen but it was probably because of their excessive focus on developing products and sales channels in emerging markets. This is exactly why their global sales and profit are much lower than what was being expected. They have now resolved to shift their focus back on smartphones in Q2 2010.

Nokia have been doing a lot lately much to our pleasure of course! They are coming up with new ideas therefore new devices which are proving to be real awesome in many ways. Now lately Nokia have come up with their latest offering, the music-centric feature phone and very affordable the Nokia X2. Nokia has been very successful with their music phones and we are hoping that this newest device will not disappoint us too!
