HTC HD2 have been using WinMo since ages and these very smartphones have been denied a Windows Phone 7 upgrade because they didn’t come up to the standard. Why? What is the standard? Well apparently it’s just that HD2 packs five hardware buttons instead of only 3. How ridiculous! The HTC HD2 has a zippy 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a huge capacitive touchscreen display of high resolution and lots of other things significant but the verdict is still the same.

Some might say that the LG KM900 Arena is getting a replacement with the LG LG9400 Maxx, also known as the Arena Maxx. LG Telecom is comeing out with in South Korea for the time being but if everything goes well, we might hope for the rest of the world to follow too! LG LG9400 Maxx is a feature phone with an S-Class user interface, which was upgraded from the previous versions we've seen. Also at the center of the LG LG9400 Maxx is a Snapdragon CPU running at 1GHz.

Well there isn’t any hope for handsets running Windows Phone 7, to be appearing in the market before the holiday season but we have caught some images of the very first handset using a Windows Mobile 7. This is a QWERTY-enabled touchscreen device, as expected, and was demonstrated by none other than Aaron Woodman, Microsoft's director of Mobile Communication Business. The demonstration alone does not prove anything about when this device is going to be launched.

The thing that most people appreciate about T-Mobile is that it still is the only operator out there to offer subsidized Nexus Ones. But many people are foreseeing a change in this pattern with the advent of Vodafone UK getting Google's first very own Android-based device in April. There were many rumours before which pointed towards the said launch happening in the month of March but now it is pretty much confirmed that the launch will take place in April.

Just like the usual, some videos of the first Symbian^4 have been leaked on the internet which gives us an insight on how this might look like. Symbian has lately been under a lot of criticism as new and improved OS’ have been discovered lately. But it is clear now that Nokia does not have any plan to just dump this biggest OS of theirs all of a sudden. Now they are thinking a total makeover of the OS so that it comes at par with the Windows Mobile 7.

This is something interesting that we have found and it will surely interest most of our readers too. We found out a very interesting survey by AdMob, about mobile phone usage and the owners pattern. You will find charts at the link below which will make it clearer, we’ll just highlight things a bit here. According to this survey the regular iPhone owner and an Android phone owner would download eight or nine apps a month. Yes this is just getting started!

This was one phone which hadn’t hit the USA as yet. Now at least the 16GB version of the phone has been launched there and is available for preorder. You can grab your very own unlocked Nokia X6 16GB from Nokia USA's online store for just around 455 US dollars which is not a big deal for this phone. In Europe too you have to pay round about the same amount to get a Nokia X6, but 16GB is the version we are talking about right now.

Now Sony Ericsson is not known for an erratic behavior as far as phones launch is concerned but news is in that it will be teeny weenie late with getting one of their phones on the market. The phone under discussion right now is the Sony Ericsson Vivaz which was supposed to be seen in the market February in a joint launch with the XPERIA X10 but now it seems neither of these high profiled phones will be appearing in time.
Microsoft reveals minimum hardware requirements for Windows Phone 7 March 2nd, 2010 - 09:20 pm by Wajiha H.
Basically Microsoft has not been following any specific pattern for the design of Windows 7 devices but all of that is coming to an end now. They have now specified three variants of Windows Phone 7 devices which will lay down the form factor, CPU, graphics and a lot more related to that. Each variant, or “chassis”, will further state an already accepted form factor. For this article though we just have the specifics for Chassis 1.
