January 2nd, 2010 - 10:41 pm by Wajiha H.
If there is one sort of phone that is probably going to be making waves at the CES, it is going to be the Tablet! Many big names have decided to come up with a tablet of their own, most of which are Android run. For example one of the biggest Smartphone making companies, HTC, is all set to steal the show with two touchscreen tablets – at least one of which will be running Android. The quality of phones churned by HTC is absolutely unquestionable, as this Taiwanese based manufacturer has been working pretty hard for the last 18 months or so in order to reveal this still unofficial tablet.

January 2nd, 2010 - 10:12 pm by Wajiha H.
Since everybody is doing it, why shouldn’t Samsung too?! According to some sources Samsung is probably not coming up with anything new in the much awaited CES press conference. A little surprising, as almost all the big companies are launching new phones in this conference, as it is known to be a great platform for showing off new phones for the first time. According to the website below, the awkward time of the press conference, that is, 7:30 am on the day 2 of the festivities, raised a lot of suspicion.

Now while we all have our regular future fantasies, like wild alien encounters, flying cars and of course time travel, receiving a text message from the future would absolutely be something new! We have seen many abnormal things that have happened to humanity lately for example the infamous millennium bug which was too hyped up; but seriously wasn’t too much of shock or let’s say big deal when it finally happened. What we have on our hands are text messages that many windows mobile phone users are getting from the year 2016!

Words like App, tweeting, etc banned

January 2nd, 2010 - 08:26 pm by Wajiha H.
Now we have grown quite used to using words which do not have any relationship with everyday language but are used extensively on the mobile. They are in many ways an essential part of the mobile phone lingo if we must. No matter what you think about these meaningless words, you got to admit that they have strong holds in the mobile phone language now. This was recently stated by The Lake Superior State University whilst releasing the 35th annual List of Words Banished from the Queen’s English for Mis-use, Over-user and Uselessness.

Google is going to launch Nexus One pretty soon due to which the hugely successful Motorola DROID might have to mend its ways now and provide its users with some more attractions in order for them to remain loyal to this set. Some images on the internet suggest that Motorola has already started working on that one. Some sets with the codenames of Mirage/ Shadow are now all over the internet with leaked images.

Now isn’t it or dream come true to have a credit card reader right there in your phone; something that is soon going to be materialized if we are not wrong. Mobile payment sector is definitely going to see a huge surge as indicated by the techno gurus. Palm finally to reach 1,000 apps!

January 1st, 2010 - 11:56 pm by Wajiha H.
Handsets which come under the banner of Apple and other Android phones enjoy having a lot of apps. Users have a lot to choose from like at least a six figure number of apps in the Apple catalogue and somewhere around 16,000 for the Android phone owners. These are comparatively huge numbers when compared to a measly figure of 946 apps reached by palm only recently! No wonder the sales are not as huge as they were initially being expected.

PREVIEW: Motorola MILESTONE

January 1st, 2010 - 11:55 pm by Wajiha H.
From one magnificent phone we jump to another outstanding phone; Motorola Milestone; which as the name suggests seems to be all set to achieve all milestones. Android phones have not been particularly looked forward to with a lot of interest, ever since the advent of the initial one, the T-Mobile G1. The Motorola MILESTONE seems to have broken that record. Another Android phone is yet to resurface that will match the popularity of this handset. Android family had become stale of late and this one phone seems to be a breather.

PREVIEW: Sony Ericsson Hazel

January 1st, 2010 - 11:53 pm by Wajiha H.
The Sony Ericsson GreenHeart series have been keeping us busy this holiday season, haven't they? Hazel is the other literally “red” hot handset in this eco-friendly series. Both of these phones are a tad different from each other and do not really look as if they are from the same family. Basically it’s all in the material that has been used to design the range; mostly recycled plastics and one other thing that sets these phones apart is the presence of the user manual on the phone instead of being printed on the paper.

PREVIEW: Sony Ericsson Elm

January 1st, 2010 - 11:52 pm by Wajiha H.
The Sony Ericsson did not get a very quick response with its Green Heart range but with time the response caught up and Elm and Hazel seem to be all over the place these days. Their main forte as we all know is the Eco-friendly materials that have been used in order to prepare them and of course the outstanding features that are being offered. It is a beautiful phone, no doubt about it, in many ways more extraordinary than any of the Sony Ericsson usual phones, but its true expertise is not that.

This year, Nexus One has managed to amaze us due to the fact that it seems to be the most awaited phone whereas there is not a lot available on it. But it is being said now that the mystery is finally going to be solved as almost all the relevant specs are now available somehow on the net.
