REVIEW: Samsung M5650 Lindy

January 14th, 2010 - 07:29 pm by Wajiha H.
If you are one of those people who have found themselves falling for Corby, then Lindy is the one for you. This phone is the exact replica of Corby but with a few differences here and there. We have had phones which have been released on the lines of Corby like the CorbyPRO and CorbyTXT, S3650W and the latest one in the line now, the M5650 Lindy. Samsung M5650 is a true replica of the original phone but it has some attractions of its own like Wi-Fi connectivity, 3.5 mm audio jack and dedicated music keys which were never present in Corby.

REVIEW: BlackBerry Storm2 9520

January 14th, 2010 - 07:08 pm by Wajiha H.
RIM are basically famous for their Blackberry edition and since they had a full touchscreen phone in line since long, it was a surprise to nobody when the new touchscreen turned out to be a Blackberry. These days it is usually very significant for almost every company to have touchscreen in their portfolio so it was pretty natural for RIM to have come out with one too. Before this they came out with BlackBerry Storm 9500, which, though a nice phone, didnít ever manage to carve a niche for itself in the market.

Rumours are that Vodafone will be making this thing possible for the UK consumers. Nexus one will see the light of the day in the UK, courtesy Vodafone. HTC have just added another name to their Smartphone lineup. The HTC Smart is their first GSM handset to run on the Brew platform but judging from its specs, I will tell you not raise your hopes a lot as it is certainly not the best that HTC have done. Basically with this handset, HTC has targeted a market which wants an affordable set with modest specs; basically all they want is a touchscreen. HTC has given them that touchscreen.

January 7th, 2010 - 09:56 pm by Wajiha H.
This set has been actually designed for teens and tweens whoíd like a more business like serious set on their hands owing to its striking resemblance to the blackberry. Even then it is quite possible that it will attract older lot as well since we have to admit, it is a bit too irresistible! Since the younger lot cannot think of living without social networking, many manufacturers have been coming up with mobiles that can fully support the social networking services.

A lot has recently been heard about Samsungís latest offering, S5550; but most of that is unfortunately based on rumours. Now get ready for this, the phone has not been officially been announced by the Company but it has hit some of the major mobile markets. Knowing Samsungís reputation of releasing a set without even properly introducing it to the masses; this was not a big deal. Just like Samsung S5550, Samsung B3410 was also launched without a proper announcement.

Have you ever wondered whatever happened to the once revolutionary I-mate? Back in the days, this hugely prosperous manufacturer of Windows Mobile handsets was giving other big names a run for their money for the mobiles that they were churning out back then. So what happened to it which saw its slow and almost unnoticeable demise? Now when we look around, it has almost disappeared from the scene altogether! Some say it was due to some inexplicable business practices that this manufacturer died a slow and untimely death.

Will your phone survive the cold?

January 5th, 2010 - 10:31 pm by Wajiha H.
Initially cell phones were particularly used for one purpose, communication, due to which their loss or subsequent damage did not affect the userís pocket very much as they could always replace them with newer mobiles. Price was much in control back in those days due to the simplicity of the phones themselves. With the advent of smart phones though this all has relatively changed. Now phones are taken care of as computers, laptops, anything that is of value.

In such a small period of time, to have made such a huge place in the hearts of consumers, to whom Android was but another novice, is nothing short of being commendable! The area that has seen the growth of these phones the most is none other than web browsing, where Android has actually managed to gain the topmost spot during the months of November to December.

Yesterday I told you about the fact that some mobiles, most importantly Windows Mobiles are getting messages from the future due to some problem. Now we know that itís not aliens who have been causing this weird behavior but a bug! This irritable performance started as soon as the clock struck twelve on the new yearsí eve and has been affecting a lot of phones recently. Some naÔve people obviously thought that they were having an alien contact whereas the saner people knew there was something absolutely wrong with the service.

LG GT950; an AT&T version of LG Arena?!

January 3rd, 2010 - 09:42 pm by Wajiha H.
There are some chances that the new LG for AT&T is actually going to be another version of LG Arena for AT&T as the new photos suggest just that. Some photos suggest that the new LG GT950 is actually going to be its twin. Though its status is still unclear and we are really not sure whether or not it is going to be called an LG Arena. If you take a good look at the photos yourself, you will definitely see the resemblance, if of course you ignore the moving of the video call camera and the proximity sensors to the left side of the phone.
