After Nokia E71 its time for another one in the E series, which is by far the most loved series of Nokia as it is the only one which has not disappointed its users in any way at all. This is purely a business set for people who are pretty serious about the way they communicate in their business deals. This is a big set, goes without saying and Nokia has given its hardware a lot of attention but we need to keep it in mind that itís not only the hardware that matters. Letís take a look at this much awaited handset. But it will certainly look back to a haunting shadow within its own family.

Nokia N900 is something very different from the conventional Nseries, most of the previews now confirm this simple fact. The main difference being the fact that it is run on Maemo; much unlike its counterparts, which are mostly symbian. Greatest thing is the fact that internet connectivity and web-browsing are done very conveniently with this set. Nokia N900 is different mostly because of its Mozilla browsing together with Maemo as a software. 3.5" 16M-color resistive touchscreen of WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) resolution.

It was announced today by Emblaze Mobile that they will soon be launching their new smartphone ELSE, the specialty of which is that it runs on a relatively unknown OS, Access Linux Platform (ALP). The mobile has approximately taken almost two years to totally come into the shape that it is, but the end result is magnificent to say but the least. It is being said that the CPU and graphics accelerator used by ELSE will be very similar to its popular rivals like iPhone 3GS, Nokia N900 and Samsung i8910 Omnia HD.

It was announced today by HP that the brand new Smartphone HP iPAQ Glisten will soon be launched by AT&T. With this phone, AT &T also enter the highly exclusive AMOLED(INFO) touchscreen world. This beautiful smartphone comes with full QWERTY keyboard and whereas the browser remains Internet Explorer 6, but in a much better version, according to the critics as it has Adobe Flash support as a built-in feature and AT&T's 3G network will be used as an internet connection.

Motorola i410 has finally been launched by Boost Mobile, which is quite a basic but a functional push-to-talk flip phone. The major specialty of this iDEN handset is a push-to-talk (PTT) button, which will make the use of this handsetís walkie-talkie feature extremely convenient. Then the phone also comes with speakerphone and voice-activated dialing which will make making calls much easier. The i410 also features Bluetooth technology, a pre-requisite of all quality handsets these days.

And when we were about to lose our hopes for the release of Nokia X6 in the UK anytime soon, the company comes up with another release date for this highly anticipated phone; only this time, the little bird says, itís for real and that too within this week! It was all set to be launched in the UK and Finland along with a Rihanna concert on the 16th of November but got postponed; according to one official announcement it should now hit the stores anytime this week.

The Samsung Omnia II will soon be available in the US by Verizon and seems to be equipped with a remarkable feature which comes standard on the handset, the device's Swype-powered "Genius Texting." The technology has been originally developed by the inventor of T9 predictive texting capability and it gives the user a new and improved way to input text using an touchscreen QWERTY keyboard. What happens is that you just have to slide your finger from one letter to the next and the device automatically figures out what the user is trying to write.

There are two new additions in the Nokia family the Nokia 6700 slide and the 7230, as announced recently by the company officially. Both are 3G capable but highly focused on facilitating messaging and the various social networks. The Nokia 6700 slide, is a Symbian device whereas the other one that is the Nokia 7230 runs on S40. We will go through both of these one by one and try to give you a synopsis of whatís ahead of you.

HD2 is being said to be the best thing ever to have been offered by the Taiwanese manufacturer uptill now. To refresh the specs in your mind, HD2 has 4.3" WQVGA touchscreen, which puts it at the edge of one hand usability and happens to be the first capacitive touchscreen for WinMo. The HD2 has an impressively thin bezel around the screen and the whole phone measures in at 120.5 x 67 x 11 mm and 157 grams.

Sony Ericsson is all set to announce the new HD-video-flaunting Kurara. Even before its announcement, detailed reviews can be seen all over the internet about this seemingly awesome handset. Now this is all what rumours have it and nothing that has been announced by the company as yet, due to which we cannot be very certain of its validity. As we mentioned in an early article as well, Kurara is a Symbian S60 5th edition smartphone, much alike the Sony Ericsson Satio.

HTC HD2 has gone down very well with the general public but the camera presents the users with a lot of difficulties as it has been seen that whenever a picture is being taken the result tends to show a light pink dot in the centre. HTC support has been contacted on this issue and they have confirmed that this is not something that can be fixed with a software solution but is a more pressing hardware problem.

Samsung Omnia 2, a Windows Mobile 6.5 smart phone, popular for supporting one of the largest touch screen displays, is being launched on December 2 for a price of around $200, as announced by Samsung the other day. According to the Basking Ridge, N.J.-based carrier, the Omnia 2 has a 3.7-inch widescreen touch screen that uses AMOLED technology for added brightest and clarity. It has the latest Swepe technology with the help of which the screen turns into a virtual QWERTY keyboard which facilitates faster text messaging.

T-Mobile has announced recently that it has a plan of launching a prepaid BlackBerry plan for $60 that doesn't require a contract or credit check. The Bellevue, Wash.-based carrier has also said that itís new T-Mobile Complete "no contract" plans will start at $50 a month for unlimited voice with additional services costing $60 for unlimited voice and text and $80 for unlimited voice, text and Web.

Why isnít Blackberry coming out with a new Pearl now? There has been quite some time that we heard about any new one. The one that had leaked images all over the internet along with some videos is without a pearl unfortunately. So whatís happening here? What has happened is that instead of the trackball, Blackberry has now placed a touch sensitive optical track pad since the trackballs had started giving trouble to many people due to which they needed to be taken for service.

It was recently said by a Maemo team that since Nokia is interested in Maemo it might drop Symbian as an OS of choice for the very successful and popular N-series. But Nokia says otherwise, both Symbian and Maemo will stay. Now when NOKIA was contacted they just shrugged the whole matter off of their shoulders, stating that since MAEmo and their team is immature; they didnít know the adversity of the statement that they were coming out with.

It was confirmed a few days ago by the Microsoft Office Vice President Kurt Delbene that the Windows Mobile 7 will be announced around the first quarter of 2010; quite possibly, the Microsoft MIX 2010 conference in March. So it is actually possible that weíll be seeing this OS for mobiles in around half a year or so. Of course it is also possible that after the initial announcement the company takes some more time to actually get some handsets running on it but letís just hope that it does not go beyond the third quarter of the same year.

Some rumours are that the Maemo officials are now saying that the next phone of the much popular N-series will be based on the Maemo OS instead of the Symbian OS. This change is not going to be implied on the sets that are still in process, of course once they are finished, the OS of choice will be the Maemo OS. This was stated at a Maemo event held in London a few days ago at which the marketing team behind the mobile OS said that Nokia plans to discontinue the use of Symbian in their N-series lineup.
