Nokia reveals another inexpensive music phone: the X2May 1st, 2010 - 11:47 pm by Wajiha H.
Nokia have been doing a lot lately much to our pleasure of course! They are coming up with new ideas therefore new devices which are proving to be real awesome in many ways. Now lately Nokia have come up with their latest offering, the music-centric feature phone and very affordable the Nokia X2. Nokia has been very successful with their music phones and we are hoping that this newest device will not disappoint us too!
![]() The new X2 will run on the S40 platform and the highlights will be dedicated music keys, stereo speakers, an FM radio with RDS and a built-in antenna. You will also be getting a support for stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio output jack, not to forget the hot-swappable microSDHC card slot. Now the new Nokia X2 is just 13-mm thin, weighs about only 81 g and packs a 2.2" screen of QVGA resolution and social network integration which will enable the users to access sites like Facebook, Twitter, Myspace etc. in just a bit. Nokia is also working on preloading the Nokia Messaging app soon too. Now the phone’s back is all aluminium and there is a 5-megapixel fixed-focus camera with video recording that you can find at the back. Now a 5 megapixel camera, without autofocus, in today’s day and age is not a very impressive feature but we have to consider the fact that it is a music phone and a VERY affordable one at that. So some compromises should be expected naturally. You can expect the Nokia X2 to be available in the market somewhere by the end of June at a projected price of 85 euro before taxes and subsidies. It is expected that the phone will be available in two colours at least; Blue on Silver and Red on Black.
