The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 has recently gotten itself the planned MR1 software update, which means a Windows Mobile 6.5.2 in sight. This update will definitely improve the overall touch performance, UI rotation and camera performance of the handset. Some other improvements are better speed and touch responsiveness of the soft keyboard. Other changes are better audio streaming, stability of panels, the up gradation of the shortcuts menu, SlideView, to version 2.0, which offers a new design and features.
 Some reports are there which suggest that Dialer might be replaced with a better one and the contact lists will also become a bit more user friendly with this. Collectively the update will follow, fast GPS for faster GPS locks, auto-lock, video calling and FM radio. Although the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 was blessed with the radio and video camera hardware all along; it can actually use it now. This update can be obtained in most countries right now. Availability throughout the world will be possible in a few days now. there are talks of a second update which might come in May, which will take the XPERIA X2 up to Windows Mobile 6.5.3.
