Nokia N900 gets Google Chrom(ium)!April 11th, 2010 - 10:44 pm by Wajiha H.
Nokia N 900 has only recently been blessed with the mobile version of Mozilla's Firefox web browser, Fennec. Now it seems that they will be getting another high profiled web browser that is the Google Chrome web browser. Nokia N900 users will now be able to enjoy Google Chrome on their Maemo-based smartphones. Nothing has been made official by Google as yet and the browser is still in its early stages.
![]() We are pretty sure that the browser will deliver the goods in time. It’s called the Chromium and is based on the Debian 32-bit release. You can easily obtain it directly from its developer's website. Usually what happens is that the desktop version of the browser is ported over to the Nokia N900, due to which it is better if you overclock your phone's processor so that it works faster. As the chromium is still in its beta version, some bugs are inevitable but you can still use it if you want. Chromium gets a perfect 100 on the Acid3 test and packs full Flash support (Flash video included). Source Related ArticlesRelated articles to Nokia N900 gets Google Chrom(ium)!.
