MeeGo 1.0 demonstrated!

MeeGo 1.0 OS has recently been demonstrated in Beijing on four kinds of devices - a netbook, a smartphone, one big TV and a digital coupon machine. It looks really good and it does seem that it will run smoothly, offering rich functionality and simple UI; basically things that every user desires! Out of the four videos the first video shows MeeGo running on Acer Aspire One netbook. The interface has a web browser, media, social integration, applications, games (there is 3D acceleration!), people, zones and settings.
The demonstrations basically clear a lot of questions in the userís mind. Like for example the second demonstration shows that if you preview some online content, moving it from one device to the other can be quite seamless. According to the video you can watch a movie on your netbook, TV and smartphone very easily and as conveniently as ever!

Then there is a possibility that a portable MeeGo device may be used to communicate with machines running the same OS like the coupon one. They can exchange information, coupons, etc.

The MeeGo device has not been completely checked as yet but people behind this great OS have some great ideas. It is not before later this year, that we are going to be seeing the announcement of the very first MeeGo-based Nokia/Intel smartphone. We will keep you posted on all that is happening in the world of MeeGo, so do stay tuned!
