HTC Desire gets an update while Hero 2.1 gets…neglected?!April 4th, 2010 - 11:51 pm by Wajiha H.
Since the advent of Android 2.1, ever other set has been waiting to get this much wanted update. But it seems that the European HTC Hero will have to wait two more weeks for this happens. HTC Desire, which has just launched and is new to the markets, has been blessed with it. Sounds confusing, doesn’t it?! We’ve also written a review on this sometime back stating that HTC released the new ver. 1.15.405.4 Desire software as an over-the-air (FOTA) update.
![]() Desire users will receive an automatic notification when the update is available for their specific version of the smartphone. Now this “FOTA” update is all about improved user experience and nothing else. Well the rumoured release date was for today but let’s see when it actually gets this update. We do hope it’s soon though. Another rumour has it now that HTC will start rolling out updates for the European versions of HTC Hero on the 16 April. The Nordic/Greek/RUS/UKR/SA ROMs will be first, with other versions following shortly. Source Related ArticlesRelated articles to HTC Desire gets an update while Hero 2.1 gets…neglected?!.
