Almost all of the major companies these days are now out with the mini versions of their popular phones for example Nokia N97, etc. But regardless of everything else, it’s Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini which definitely steals the show. There is no other mini set half as good as this one. The X10 mini shows what a mini phone should be all about. It should be as good as a complete smartphone in a half-size package.

We don’t have the complete phone review right now but at a glance this is what we have managed to collect. This is a touchscreen bar with dimensions of Dimensions: 83 x 50 x 16 mm, 86g weight, Display: 2.55" 16M-color TFT capacitive touchscreen with QVGA resolution, Platform: Android OS 1.6 with Sony Ericsson Timescape UI, CPU: 600Mhz processor, Memory: 128MB internal memory, microSD card slot, 2GB card included, Camera: 5-megapixels auto-focus camera, LED flash, geotagging, Connectivity: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, standard microUSB port, GPS receiver with A-GPS, digital compass, 3.5mm audio jack, Misc: Accelerometer for screen auto rotate, FM radio with RDS, TrackID music recognition, Battery: Non-removable Li-Po battery.

With the decrease in the price there are, quite understandably decreases in other departments too but everything can be tolerated due to the huge price reduction. Even then some experts regard it to be one of the most capable handsets as far as QVGA screens are concerned.

Everything will be known in a much better way of course once the set comes out and people start using it on a regular basis. Until then let’s hope for the best!
