HTC to come out with a Windows Phone 7 device in 2010March 28th, 2010 - 06:08 pm by Wajiha H.
We have good news for HTC fans out there as HTC CEO has confirmed himself that the Taiwanese company is going to come out with a Windows Phone 7 device sometime later in 2010. There were some rumours that HTC might drop the new OS until Microsoft permit custom UIs; this confirmation has officially put an end to that! As we all are aware, Microsoft has very strict policies for Windows Phone 7 OS and they are very much against home-brewed user interfaces.
![]() This HTC device that the HTC CEO has been talking about could be HTC Obsession, which leaked a few months back or so. Peter Chou also thinks that the Google Nexus One is a moderate commercial success despite the fact that only 135 000 of these devices were sold in the first 74 days after its release. HTC’s position on Google Nexus One devices seems pretty clear; they think the device has had proper public feedback just because it was not properly marketed. He thinks that Google Nexus One showed the world that HTC is the top Android brand. We are not sure how though!
