Dev teams now can utilize this service in their own apps bringing live updates to the mobile. RIM has announced two packages for the BlackBerry Push service i.e. Push Essentials and Push Plus. Now these notifications are a Godsend because with this service anyone can get immediate updates on all their Push-enabled apps such as weather, email, all kind of news, etc. You can get push content till 8KB max and the first apps that use the service are Weather Bug Elite, Sports Illustrated, the Hockey News and Time.
