Android comes to AT&T in the shape of Motorola BACKFLIPMarch 13th, 2010 - 11:53 pm by Wajiha H.
It is said that in the shape of Motorola BACKFLIP, AT&T will be selling their first Android phone soon. The Motorola BACKFLIP is a full-QWERTY phone running Android with MOTOBLUR UI and a very interesting keyboard. You will get some hints from the name here. Itís a pretty standard Android phone apart from the keyboard thing with Android 1.5 Cupcake, 3.1" HVGA touchscreen, 528MHz CPU, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM and a 5MP camera, 7.2Mbps HSDPA (and quad-band GSM/EDGE of course), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
AT&T customers are not very used to having an ANDROID phone and so they are going to be getting their first in the shape of this one. Some interesting rumours also point towards the fact that there could be more devices in line too. Many say that there will be a Dell phone and HTC phone(s), which could be running the Android.
You can get the Motorola BACKFLIP from AT&T for 349 US dollars with no contract or 99 dollars after a 100 dollar mail-in rebate on a 2-year 30-dollar-a-month contract.
