Windows Mobile 7 (or Windows Phone 7 Series) has recently been announced by Microsoft at the freshly finished MWC 2010. What Windows Phone 7 prides itself upon is the fact that it is the next generation of the mobile Windows. Windows Phone 7 gives you everything; connecting people, games, multimedia and office in a simple OS. We have the usual Facebook, Twitter, Myspace integration which promises to give you all the experience that you want in one.

You have the usual stuff; updating status, sending PMs, sharing links, etc. along with the dynamically updated info about your friends. The multimedia hubs; that are the Pictures and Music + Video look the same as in Zune portable player. For games, Microsoft have integrated their game console service into the new OS which will enable gamers to play easily with their friends, share statistics, watch demo videos or trailers, view or participate in all kind of charts, collect points from unlocked achievements or just chat with their game buddies.

The office hub is as you can guess for viewing, creating or editing all kind of notes, docs, presentations, agenda, calendar events, etc. everything in one place. The Marketplace hub on the other hand will be about a lot of Apps. Also you will be able to install and update new programs only from here. We have to admit that that kind of sounds just like Apple Apps Store.

Windows Phone 7 platform is a big thing, something Microsoft promised a while back. We can’t really wait to see now what Microsoft has in store for us in the shape of Windows Phone 7 handsets.
