We are going to review touchscreens mainly and see how they measure up against each other as far as web browsing is concerned. Web browsing is becoming as significant as texting and calling these days. The most popular touchscreen mobile phone browsers have been tested for browser performance from page rendering to cache handling. This has been done by running a number of benchmark tests on them to be completely sure of what they are going to offer.
![]() Mobile Safari browser in iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 3G; Maemo browser on the Nokia N900; the Mobile 6, Opera Mobile 9.7 and the ever-popular Opera Mini 4.2 on the HTC HD2 whereas for Opera Mobile 9.5, we used Samsung B7610 OmniaPRO. For Android powered phones, the default browser running on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and the Motorola MILESTONE will be tested. Then comes the Symbian browser which will be tested on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and Samsung i8910 Omnia HD. WebOS’ browser will be tested on the Palm Pre.
