Sony Ericsson has been coming out with great sets these days. A couple of days back or so they announced their new QWERTY-packing WinMo handset, this time the meticulously done bar-shaped Sony Ericsson Aspen; the second handset to officially run on the latest version of Windows Mobile OS - 6.5.3. The company proprietary panel interface will also be packed in the handset as we have found out from the previous handsets namely XPERIA X 1 and X2.

If rumours are anything to go by, Sony Ericsson Aspen will be coming with a 2.4" touchscreen of QVGA resolution and also will enable you to do worldwide roaming due its quad-band GSM support. One really interesting thing more, it’s been heard again and again that the phone will be coming in two versions, and they both will be featuring HSPA.

You must be wondering about the local connectivity options of the Sony Ericsson Aspen; well they consist of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and a 3.5mm audio jack; so yes, the phone comes loaded indeed. You also get a built-in GPS receiver and a microSD card slot along with a 4GB microSD memory card included in the retail package. It contains a 3.2 megapixel fixed-focus camera as well.

So if rumours are anything to go by the handset will be available in Iconic Black and White Silver starting from the second quarter of 2010. Nothing much is known about its retail price yet.
