Nexus One firmware gets an update!February 8th, 2010 - 09:18 pm by W.Naqvi
Nexus One is getting a new update and this one solves all the problems that the phone has been having in the past in addition to adding something new as well. What exactly? Well it basically takes care of all the 3G connectivity issues that the phone was facing along with adding pinch-zoom to it along with several new applications! All in all get excited, get very excited as this one is bound to make you happy!
![]() Well the company wants all the Nexus One users to be getting the update by the end of this week; that is its current target. Just keep an eye on that notification bar, as you can start downloading as soon as you get a notification. The best thing about this, it is an over-the-air update, due to which you will not be needing a computer as well. There is pinch-zooming that is on offer with this update. And there's multi-touch for all Nexus One users. Pinch-zoom can be enabled in the Browser, the Gallery and in the Google Maps Navigation app. We don’t know anything about whether pinch-zoom or other multi-touch functionality will be available in third-party applications or not. Yes the list of updates doesn’t finish, yet! We have two more pretty updates as well Google Goggles and Google Maps also get updated. Nexus One maps also get an update with some new things of course; it syncs starred items between the phone and maps.google.com and also uses history from the site for better suggestions as you search. It also comes with a night mode now, which transforms the screen at night. All in all, all the updates are absolutely lovely.
