LG GS500 Cookie Plus launched

LG has just come out with another member of their Cookie touchscreen handset family; the Cookie Plus. It is an entry-level phone, expected to be a slightly upgraded version of the original KP500 Cookie. It has many things that have been improved upon as compared to the predecessor; like 3G with HSDPA and a better UI which will provide prospective customers with a good option for a cheap touchscreen. Now this mobile is for the cool hipster as the UI is very cartoonish!

This is something that will probably remind you of the Samsung Corby and its cartoonish UI which was surprisingly the most publicized feature of it as well. Even the icons are seemingly the same. We don’t know what LG were thinking when they came out with this phone as it is repulsively similar to the Samsung Corby!

To many people this is not even a proper upgrade, so you can avoid it if you really want to wait and get yourself one of the other new Cookie handsets that LG is planning to launch in the year 2010. There has been a press release by the company in which they have specifically mentioned another Cookie called LG GS290. We think it should be available in the UK in mid-March, but not much can be said with certainty here, yet.

The LG Cookie Plus, though a Samsung copy, definitely wants to be available almost everywhere in the world beginning with France and Italy in early March. Not a lot can be said with certainty about the pricing of the phone.
