It is strongly suspected even after both companies have been denying this thing again and again that Nokia and Qualcomm have a Snapdragon-powered Symbian smartphone in the pipeline which is expected to hit the markets by the end of the year. The patents have been a strong source of contention between both the Nokia and Qualcomm. According to some rumours this battle has been going on for years now.
 Now of course things have become quite settled between the two and the row was officially over two years ago. It was then that both the companies signed a 15-year agreement on multiple patents (including GSM, EDGE, CDMA, HSDPA, OFDM, WiMax, LTE,).
