People continue to take interest in the ITG XPphone story. Of course this story has been extensively covered by us as well, sans the pricing and release date. We have heard good news about the price of this much awaited phone so now it seems that the only thing that we still don’t have any idea about is its release date which is yet to be announced. As we have discussed before the ITG xpPhone is a MID-slash-phone device.
ITG XPphone
A MID-slash-phone is the one which has an AMD CPU on the inside, running Windows XP or Windows 7 with a heavy emphasis on all sorts of wireless connectivity options that can come to your mind. Now here comes the interesting part about the phone, its specs which are very much like a netbook. The screen of the ITG xpPhone is 4.3/4.8/7-inch touchscreen with 800x480/1024x600 resolution.

Connectivity options as we mentioned before are almost unlimited as you have GSM/GPRS/EDGE/3G/CDMA/EVDO with optional upgrades for WiMAX and LTE. There's Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS of course; so lots of connectivity. You get to have Windows XP (or Windows 7) as an OS, now what can be better than that. All the other apps that you might expect from a phone of this caliber, you will find in this phone.

The cost is between 400 and 650 US dollars (280-450 euro) which is around the price of a good netbook. Some people are of the view that recently announced LG GW990 can give lots of competition to this phone but only time will tell whether this is right or not.
