iPhone gets VoIP over 3G networksJanuary 31st, 2010 - 11:48 pm by Wajiha H.
iPhone has never been very good with VoIP. You can get VoIP apps but only through Wi-Fi which if you really think about it is quite limiting. VoIP apps usually offer free calls between two users running the app, but in case of cheap international calls you're limited to only a few locations in which you can make and receive such calls as it’s available only through Wi-Fi. Now as we all know Apple is known to make things easier for its users due to which it has also lifted this Wi-Fi-only restriction.
![]() Apple has actually already introduced an app that takes advantage of that known as the iCall and it can be easily downloaded from the site now. We have also seen a video on the net that shows the iCall doing an international call, but the best thing is that the interface looks almost identical to the regular call interface on the iPhone. So get ready for this new iPhone experience. We can be assured of one thing that the ride would be worth taking! Source Related ArticlesRelated articles to iPhone gets VoIP over 3G networks.
