YEAR 2009 REVIEW: The UgliesDecember 27th, 2009 - 09:33 pm by Wajiha H.
There are many that fit into the category of the ugly phones; like the new (yet unreleased) Nokia 5330 XpressMusic the Motorola W7 which is only available in Asia, for which we all must be grateful! The Samsung B7620 actually got ruined due to the dreadful Armani branding. We have also seen that ugly hones have been pretty popular in the US as compared to the other places. These include Motorola Karma QA1, Samsung Comeback, Motorola VA76r Tundra and Nokia Surge (also sold in Europe as the 6760 Slide).
![]() A somewhat lesser ugly phone is the Samsung B3310 ; then there is the hugely disappointing Nokia 6700 Classic Gold Edition! Nokia 6300 has originally been one of the best phones that Nokia has ever come out with and then after a lot of effort that the company put in, a set as brilliant as Nokia 6700 came out, which was a brilliant thing to be until Nokia 6700 Classic Gold Edition came to town! Well a set covered with gold from head to toe is not my idea of a good mobile as it to me seems cheap and a little bit too over the top. Thus the phone failed, not to mention completely. Now we come towards the winner of all uglies; that is the Telstra T165i which doesn’t look that beautiful but still is a good phone as far as its function goes. Targeting a particular Australian market, the T165i has an extendable antenna, which is not a very common sight amongst 3G phones these days. Also it can be very easily mounted on an external antenna either in a fixed location or a vehicle which definitely comes in extremely handy. Although there is a list of other phones that can easily be termed as some of the ugliest phones in the year 2009, but I guess Telstra T165i beats them all! Though the phone is a bit cute!
