The first LTE (4G) networks launched by TeliaSonera in Scandinavia

Future is right here and we know it as TeliaSOnera is all set to make LTE (the 4th gen networks) commercially available. This all is happening of course when even the most reliable of the networks are trying their level best to come up with good reliable 3G networks. There are any publicly available phones that can make use of it but those will certainly come sooner rather than later. Of course this offer is only limited to the people with LTE-supporting laptop modems; other phones will be able to use this facility in a while.
LTE 4G

Europe has been the first to have introduced this and that too only in the capital cities of Sweden and Norway. So of course you can imagine how special this facility is. The necessary equipment for this bliss was made available by Ericsson in Sweden and in Norway, Huawei were chosen to do the honours.

The fastest HSPA-enabled 3G networks these days are not as fast at the 100 Mpbs offered by 4G. Of course we still don’t have any idea as to when mobile phones will be able to make use of this awesome technology, but still the fact that advancement to the level of LTE technology has been possible is something to rejoice for.

The third country to be blessed with this technology is Finland; which according to some resources will get their 4G network up and running in Q1 of 2010, and O2 is already testing theirs in the UK which makes it evident that the UK is also one of the countries next in line. It is being predicted that the announcements might come at the MWC in Barcelona in February next year. We definitely have our fingers crossed and are all ears!
