Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 to be out in January 2010 now

The latest with Sony Ericsson is that their Windows Mobile equipped X2 will be released around January 2010 now and the launch was delayed due to some problems that the company was facing time and again. It can be seen that the company has been suffering from a lot of problems lately especially if you take in consideration the suspension of Sony Ericsson Satio sales in the UK and the touchscreen issues that Aino had.

Sadly their last hope for a great Christmas shopping spree, the XPERIA X2 is also down the drain now! Vodafone website states that the set will be available somewhere in January, which means the holiday season completely missed; not a very situation for the already sad company indeed. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 will be joining it as well, but even that doesn’t really bring a lot of hope to the company.

Now if you’re following the news there are some significant announcements expected at the MWC in February; due to which Q1 is definitely not the best time to come out with significant handsets as there will not be a lot of people ready to buy them. Due to which many people are of the view that most of the important handsets will be launched in the middle of the second quarter, not before that especially the high end phones.

Let’s hope that Sony Ericsson know what they’re doing this time and the mistake of the late release of the original X1 and the Satio is not repeated.
