Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is of those phones which have been waited for eagerly but have not been released as yet. Their immense popularity however pushed us to release a small preview of the thing. It was officially announced at an event in London. Sony Ericsson showed the phone to the audience which means that the hardware is not going to be facing any unusual changes, though the software is still in its processing stages. This is a very little insight of what we should be expecting of this phone which is due to be released somewhere around the first quarter of the next year.

The basic features of this phone are that it has GSM, it is a touchscreen bar phone, of around 4" 65K-color TFT capacitive touchscreen, runs on Android 1.6 (Donut), is equipped with a memory of 1GB storage and 256MB RAM, has a microSD card slot, 8GB card included in the retail box, an 8 megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash and face detection; touch focus, WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, standard microUSB port, GPS receiver, 3.5mm audio jack, Sony Ericsson Timescape and Mediascape UI, built-in accelerometer etc.

Now the best thing about this phone is that it is a powerful phone among all of the various Android handsets. It would have been a great thing had this phone be available in time for Christmas which it will not be, it seems. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is due to be launched somewhere around MWC 2010.
