Sony Ericsson unveils two greenheart phonesDecember 18th, 2009 - 11:20 pm by Wajiha H.
Sony Ericsson has recently come out with their latest environmental achievement, two tree-hugging phones, named after trees themselves, Elm and Hazel. Of course them being environmentally inclined does not necessarily mean that they are deprived of any good features. They are aptly equipped with Wi-Fi, GPS, together with awesome sound technologies like Noise Shield, Clear Voice and Intelligent Volume Adaptation. These phones have splash-resistant bodies and curved designs basically meant to fit in your palm; just like the hugely successful XPERIA X10.
![]() The Sony Ericsson Elm and Hazel are equipped with 5 megapixel auto focus cameras, Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS receivers along with the very popular Google Maps and Wisepilot mapping applications. If we look at the Sony Ericsson Hazel first, its width is around 16 mm and it weighs 120 g. Also built in the set is a 2.6-inch 16M color QVGA display. On the other hand if we look at the Sony Ericsson Elm, it has a thickness of 14 mm and a weight of 90 grams. The Elm screen is small however, standing at a mere 2.2 inches with 262K color support and QVGA resolution. These phones are naturally compatible with the new social networking sites as living without these is almost unthinkable now. Also there is a new homescreen widget system introduced by the company which will definitely permit direct integration with social networking services such as MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. Now just like the XPERIA X10, Sony Ericsson might also include a microUSB charger in the retail packages of both phones. It is being heard that the Sony Ericsson Elm will be available in Metal Black and Pearly Rose from Q1 2010. The Sony Ericsson Hazel will be available in Superior Black and Passionate Rouge from Q2 2010. Source Related ArticlesRelated articles to Sony Ericsson unveils two greenheart phones.
