Samsung to come out with a Firmware update for the i8910 Omnia HD soon!December 24th, 2009 - 02:38 pm by Wajiha H.
Samsung i8910 Omnia HD, though an awesome phone, has been having a lot of issues with users. To combat it Samsung has just come up with a firmware which will tackle all the problems that the users have been facing regarding the phone. There are at least three things that the new firmware aspires to take care of, an improved browser, the addition of kinetic scrolling and finally a new graphic engine. All these three things will surely put the mobile at the top of its game.

Samsung spruced up the S60 5th edition UI with its widget happy TouchWiz UI, but not a lot of changes apart from the home screen, have been made. Another important thing was the addition of a new graphic engine, which will definitely increase the "the speed to access the multimedia content” which means better playback, but still no stable 24 frames per second for 720p video recording. It is being said that this new Omnia HD firmware will probably hit the markets somewhere in January 2010, which is just around the corner. The sales will start with the UK and then moving on with other European markets, Asia, Africa and the rest of the world. Now all you have to do in order to install the update is to have a Samsung PC Studio 7 installed on your computer. It can be easily downloaded from the Samsung Site.
