RIM and Apple rise while Nokia falls

It has been seen recently that Nokia’s financial performance has not been very outstanding. Also as a recent study by MKM Partners show, the company that has profited the most so far is RIM, because of the countless and popular BlackBerry devices that they are known for; selling much much better than the Nokia counterarts, in Q3 2009. All this has resulted in a very good fate for RIM on a market that was dominated by Nokia up till now.

Apple has also seen a lot of good things as far as market share is concerned and that is mainly because of the highly successful iPhone which has more than tripled according to a recent survey by JPMorgan, the sales of the iPhone have more than tripled. Japan is one country where iPhone is extremely popular.

Many analysts think that the major reason behind this fall of Nokia is the fact that they are slow in developing new things for the market and stuck to the age-old formulae in mobile manufacture. Then there are not a lot of devices with touch-sensitive screen and this has been the fastest growing sub-sector of the cell phone market globally, a fact that is quite easy to prove with, for an instance, the record.breaking sales of devices like the affordable Samsung Star S5230.
