The Samsung SPH-i350 Intrepid is one of the many candybar-style Smartphones which will be equipped with Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional. Sprint Network is offering the handset right now and also offers quad-band GSM connectivity for global travelers. This is a small review of the set together with the pros and cons of this set which can play a great role in deciding whether or not this phone should be bought. We take a look at some of the more obvious and significant specs below.

There is a 2.5-inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixel) touchscreen with a vivid and crisp display, showing off the new Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system well. It is a new addition which was being looked forward to since long now. But there are some unnecessary items as well like the navigation tools which are not needed at all.

There is a light sensor and an LED notification light right above the display. Intrepid comes with LED notification lights which are usually looked over in many mobiles, so is a great relief. The keyboard and the d-pad are illuminated which is a very helpful thing especially if you want to see in the dark sometime.

There is a metal volume rocker and a covered USB port on the left side. The top of the phone has a covered 5mm audio port that flips open for use with headphones. The covered ports on the device add value to the form factor while at the same time providing protection.
