REVIEW: LG BL20 New Chocolate

The New Chocolate LG BL20 is not a very unique phone so to say and nothing significantly new is being offered by it. The original BL40 was an inspiring phone to say but the least but we can’t say the same about the new BL20 as it just seems to be a new version of the same phone; or let’s just say, the physical successor of the original thing. LG has lately been all about touch screens so it has been a while that any of their regular phones have gotten reviewed.
LG Chocolate BL20

Lets take a look at some of the key features being offered by the phone. For starters it comes equipped with a Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, 2.4" 262K-color QVGA display, Touch-sensitive navigation pad, 5 megapixel autofocus camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics, AF-assist light and LED flash, Standard microUSB port, Bluetooth, Hot-swap microSD card slot (up to 16 GB), Stealthy touchpad and classic chocolate looks, FM radio, a very comfy keypad.

Major disadvantages include the fact that it is extremely tall not to mention big for its classy status, no accelerometer, which means there is no auto screen rotation, Volume rocker and camera key have absolutely no press feedback, Piano black surface is a fingerprint nightmare, Memory card slot under the battery cover, Poor video recording, Slow scrolling in the image gallery, No document viewer, No sign of any social networking integration so yes, there are a lot of problems with this phone.

Ok before you give on the idea of buying this phone, don’t. It’s just that LG has sort of spoiled us with all the touch screens that it has been coming up with so we have sort of forgotten that it has regular stuff to offer as well. So if you really want a phone which will look good on your hands, you must go for this otherwise function wise it does not offer a lot.
