Nokia tease with Symbian UI improvements coming in 2010December 6th, 2009 - 11:46 pm by Wajiha H.
Nokia has also come out with their plans for the year 2010 and this include major improvements of the Symbian user interface and coming out with the very first Maemo 6 device! So we are assuming it is going to be one good year for the company and of course for the users as well. Some of the UI changes were also shown to the media present there. It is being said that next year Nokia will incorporate some of the capacitive touchscreen technology in its Symbian S60 UI so that it is equipped with multi-touch capabilities.

So things like getting to your favorite music or video, creating and accessing emails accounts, will be done in simple steps without the use of a lot of taps. Also the upgraded Symbian OS will abandon more than 350 bothersome prompts, which are not very much liked by users in general. Another plan that is underway which is that Nokia will be upgrading from the very average 15fps graphics to the impressive 60 fps. The web browser will also be improved which will definitely improve its efficiency, user-friendliness and performance. Now we must appreciate that it is not Symbian OS exactly which is the problem but the very outdated UI which should have been changed a while back. Everybody is more than excited to see the new UI now as it was something that was being awaited a long time now. Also as discussed above as well, the Finnish company will also be coming out with the first Maemo 6 device sometime in the mid of 2010.
