For those of you who do not know much about it, Google has recently proposed an acquisition of mobile advertising network, AdMob. But it seems that the U.S. government's anti-trust regulators are not so sure about this recent proposition and want to dig a little deeper into it, scrutinize it a little bit more. It has recently been reported by Google itself that the Federal Trade Commission has asked for additional information regarding the proposed deal.

Now the reason behind this proposed acquisition is that this step will probably further fortify Google's already established online advertising market. But there is a little thing that you should know about AdMob; this advertising system is particularly for cell phones and smartphones. Now AdMob advertises not only on mobile formatted websites, but can also embed them inside applications which is why their use is evident and in abundance by application developers so that their distribution of free apps is sufficiently advertised.

Associated Press has suggested that usually such proposals are further scrutinized and more information is gathered about them but that does not in any way conclude that if FTC says scrutiny it means rejection. Most of these deals do get finalized and put in action so there is no need to lose hope.
