Cell phones and brain tumour don't go hand in hand!December 14th, 2009 - 11:46 pm by Wajiha H.
It has been long suspected that there might be some sort of connection between brain tumor and cell usage but this 30-year old study denies this and based on this very study, published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, some Scandinavian researchers have also concluded that there has been no increase in brain tumor diagnoses from 1998 to 2003. "We did not detect any clear change in the long-term time trends in the incidence of brain tumors," said Isabelle Deltour, a researcher in the Danish Cancer Society.

"Because of the high prevalence of mobile phone exposure in this population and worldwide, longer follow-up of time trends in brain tumor incidence rates are warranted," Deltour advised. A lot of studies have got published about this very matter but so far nothing has been proved by any of the researchers. Four years ago, Danish scientists reported that connection has been found out between these two things. French and Norwegian researchers reported similar results last year. but according to U.S. and British scientists since many of these researches were funded by the handset makers themselves they could be a little flawed. In September, the U.S. Senate Health Committee declared that it would investigate potential connections between handset use and brain cancer, comparing it with the notorious cigarette-lung cancer case of the 1970s where tobacco companies denied the cause for decades. As many as 275 million people in the U.S. and 4 billion worldwide regularly use cell phones. Source Related ArticlesRelated articles to Cell phones and brain tumour don't go hand in hand!.
