This new Windows XP powered, ITG xpPhone, is pretty much a tablet but also a phone, much similar to the Nokia N900 ; the only difference being the fact that this one completely run on Windows XP and acts like a mini pc. Now since XP was not originally intended for mobile phones, to make it more user-friendly, Dial-up interface has been introduced which makes use of a more traditional tabbed menu and is touted to be more finger friendly.

Yes, applications can be downloaded but will the run on a 4.8" touchscreen or not? That is the question obviously. The other things that this great phone comes with is the offering of syncing with Gmail over the air, Microsoft Exchange support, mobile Skype, mobile Office document viewing and editing, mobile DivX support, thus mobiling almost every other thing. These are the advantages that you can be having if you get yourself this tablet that runs Windows XP. The fact is that anyone thinking of going for this set for wait for a bit and read the reviews about it so that you don’t have to settle in for a thing that does not suit your style. Another plus point about this set is the battery time as it guarantees 5 hours talk time and 5 days standby. The ITG xpPhone is a huge phone, weighing a lot too, almost 400 grams which is quite big. The dimensions are dictated in no small part by the 4.8" screen, which actually is said to be the biggest on a "mobile" phone so far. The official size of the phone has not been announced as yet but on a close estimate we think it should be somewhere around 158 x 75 x 16 mm.
