It has only recently been announced by Samsung that the Windows Mobile 6.5 update for the Samsung Jack Smartphone for AT&T is now freely available for downloading on its website. The Samsung Jack will no doubt become more functional after the new Windows is downloaded. These newfound functionalities will include Windows Marketplace application store, and the new Internet Explorer Mobile 6 web browser, with Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight support.
Windows 6.5

For the people who have no idea as to what we are talking about here, the Samsung i637 Jack is the successor to the BlackJack II. Most of its features are quite the same as the original thing except for a few things that have been added like feature set and great battery life in a new, more business-like physical design which to add convenience is also lighter. It does not have the same old looks as the old BlackJack devices as it seems much better. The style is influenced by the Blackberry Bold in many respects.

There is this all improved QWERTY board with bigger keys for convenience. .instead of the the scrollable d-pad of the Black Jack II, this new version of the phone is equipped with a pressure sensitive d-pad controller. There are a few questions that come in mind about the layout of the control cluster, but the thing is that these buttons are very convenient to work with even when this mobile is supposedly very crowded.

Also with this download the users will be able to have an access to AT&T's WiFi hotspots as well as the Vlingo for Windows Mobile. These applications can make the consumers carry out a lot of various tasks that are otherwise not possible. You can conveniently carry out things like sending an email message or calling a friend, with nothing but their voice. The Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade can be downloaded from Samsung's website
