Nokia is coming out with new touchscreen smart phones every now and then and each one of them shouts quality. Though the company in their effort to increase quantity has lately, compromised on quality; though Nokia N97 is but one of their finer handsets. Even the original Nokia N97 was a phone par excellence even when it did not offer many outstanding features. It must be kept in mind that N97 is one of the pioneer S60 phones and its new version is just to fill in the little gaps that were left out by the original one.

Key features of the phone include a slide-n-tilt 3.2" 16M-color resistive touchscreen of 640 x 360 pixel resolution, 5 megapixel autofocus camera with dual-LED flash and VGA@30fps video recording, symbian OS 9.4, slide-out three-row full QWERTY keyboard, Quad-band GSM support and 3G with 3.6Mbps HSDPA support, Wi-Fi and GPS with A-GPS, Digital compass, Built-in accelerometer, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, microUSB port (charging) and stereo Bluetooth v2.0, Web browser has full Flash and Java support, Nice audio reproduction quality, Office document viewer.

It is impossible not to go into a detailed comparison of the two phones. Well, the N97 mini is actually smaller in every respect like its compact, lighter, has a smaller display, internal memory, battery, etc.

The new N97 has a lot to prove, goes without saying as it will and it still is constantly being compared to its predecessor. There are not a lot of deciding factors between the two, but the prices are different which can make a difference.

Nokia N97 is a big set, goes without saying, definitely, anything that is a bit lighter is welcome; the phone is too good to be missed, that’s for sure. If you really want to take a look at what the set’s all about, you should take a complete look at the link below.
