REVIEW: HTC HD2November 19th, 2009 - 11:44 pm by Wajiha H.
At a first glance this is a large phone, extremely at that. Getting used to it might be a good idea though as this is going to be a major success! Blessed with a mighty capacitive screen will mean more user friendliness making WinMo highly liked amongst the consumers. This is second in line of the HTC series and quite like the original one in many ways. Key features are mostly the same as the original HTC HD2.
![]() It is blessed with a huge 4.3" 65K-color WVGA glass-covered capacitive touchscreen, multi-touch input, Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional OS with Sense UI, Qualcomm Snapdragon, Quad-band GSM support, 3G, Wi-Fi connectivity, Built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support, Stereo FM radio with RDS, 5 MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash and touch focus, VGA video recording at 30fps, microSD card slot, Standard microUSB port and Bluetooth, Standard 3.5mm audio jack, Great audio quality, MS Office Mobile document editor, Opera 9.5 web browser, YouTube client, Facebook and Twitter integration, Excellent video playback performance and a perfect battery life which can last for days. Of course every good thing comes with its disadvantages; for example the major disadvantages of this one is that it's a very large thus an inconvenient phone, it has poor sunlight legibility, 65K color limitation of display has color gradients banding, card slot under the battery cover, disappointing photo and video quality, no dedicated camera key and no lens cover, no DivX/XviD video support out-of-the-box, preloaded CoPilot Live navigation software is a trial version, no secondary video-call camera, no voice dialing, no handwriting recognition and a very dodgy web flash support. Now the main thing that HTC is doing with the launch of this phone is that it wants to bring the concept of pocket PC better in use. Another image that it wants to change is that of WinMo being unfriendly. But definitely it will be much better if the set is properly checked and analyzed for its attributes.
