Nokia says both Symbian and Maemo stayNovember 22nd, 2009 - 11:52 pm by Wajiha H.
It was recently said by a Maemo team that since Nokia is interested in Maemo it might drop Symbian as an OS of choice for the very successful and popular N-series. But Nokia says otherwise, both Symbian and Maemo will stay. Now when NOKIA was contacted they just shrugged the whole matter off of their shoulders, stating that since MAEmo and their team is immature; they didn’t know the adversity of the statement that they were coming out with.
![]() Nokia confirmed that if N-series is to be concerned solely, Symbian is the most suited OD for it. MAEMO they said is more compatible with high-end productivity phones on the other end. Now NOKIA is an old company and definitely very well-versed with journalism and its gimmicks. The clarification that they have made regarding this matter is not much of a clarification to begin with as it neither confirms or denies the statement made by the MAEMO team. Now as we talk of Nseries and its suitability with Symbian only, we must look at the preview of N900, which is being run on MAEMO!
