Nokia N900 and X6 are going to be launched early in the holiday season, as announced by the Company lately. Nokia N900 will be equipped with a new Smartphone OS whereas X6 will be equipped with a capacitive touchscreen. Well there are various opinions about how the Smartphone OS is going to taken by the masses. According to Nokia the trend is here to stay whereas according to the internet commentators the OS is not going to do very well.

The phone proudly flaunts a big high-resolution touchscreen and slide-out QWERTY, very powerful, very personal OS and a wireless connectivity that stays for all year. Definitely something that is being perceived as the next big thing in the world of Smart phones.

The Nokia N900 runs Nokia's Maemo OS, which like many other OS’ isn’t isn't "Linux-based". Now that does really mean that many of the Linux apps will be every conveniently ported to Maemo and it will also be able to run things like OpenOffice, AbiWord, Firefox 3.0 and even more, due to the application Easy Debian. Now all of this on paper sounds very interesting but the real thing is that not a lot of applications are available for this latest version of Maemo OS and the people who get it too early for themselves might find it a bit difficult to get even a few simple applications.

Now let’s talk a bit about the Nokia X6, which runs Symbian S60 5th edition and comes with a capacitive touchscreen, first of its kind. There is a pair of headphones offered with the set as well called the WH-500 headphones along with a year of unlimited free music downloads from Nokia's Comes With Music, not what could be better than that!

Nokia N900 is going to be offered by T-mobile USA where as both of these sets will have to be preordered well before time. There are a lot of unofficial pictures of Nokia N920 on the internet already. Go take a look!
