HTC HD2 pink dot problem due to hardware issuesNovember 24th, 2009 - 10:22 pm by Wajiha H.
HTC HD2 has gone down very well with the general public but the camera presents the users with a lot of difficulties as it has been seen that whenever a picture is being taken the result tends to show a light pink dot in the centre. HTC support has been contacted on this issue and they have confirmed that this is not something that can be fixed with a software solution but is a more pressing hardware problem.
![]() Their solution to the problem is that if you are amongst those people who have been facing this problem you should see your local store and get another one in exchange. People who have been experiencing these problems which is almost all of them, say that it is the thumbnail version which is the most disturbing as the pink dot is very easily visible only on that. But if this is a hardware fault as has been announced by the company itself, how can we be sure that the other sets with the store will not be suffering from the same issue? So where does the option of exchange stand then? More recently HTC officials have come up with a different, more appealing answer to this pink dot issue. "We can confirm that this issue has been determined as a software issue. The developers are working on a hotfix to resolve, and it will be released as soon as possible. There is not a specific date for the releases as yet; please continue to monitor the support pages for the release.” Maybe what they have done is that they have found a permanent solution to fix the hardware problem which is going to be a part of the sets which will be manufactured in future. What will happen to the current sets is anybody’s guess! Source Related ArticlesRelated articles to HTC HD2 pink dot problem due to hardware issues.
