Why isn’t Blackberry coming out with a new Pearl now? There has been quite some time that we heard about any new one. The one that had leaked images all over the internet along with some videos is without a pearl unfortunately. So what’s happening here? What has happened is that instead of the trackball, Blackberry has now placed a touch sensitive optical track pad since the trackballs had started giving trouble to many people due to which they needed to be taken for service.
 So why did Blackberry even introduce these pearl mobiles? The answer is simple, simply to revolutionize the way people think about berry’s, to make it a bit cooler and more hip as there were a lot of other things that were offered in the phone apart from being a business oriented phone only. Now all the Blackberry’s have these features due to which there is no need to come out with a range only for this purpose. The new BlackBerry Pearl 9100 also known as the Stratus or the Striker will also feature a SureType keyboard, (half-QWERTY). It is expected to be equipped with 3G and Wi-Fi support and run the latest version of the BlackBerry OS (v5.0). The close-ups reveal a microUSB port, a standard 3.5mm audio jack and a camera with LED flash. There is also a video that can be seen on the link below which can make it easier for people to look at the device from each possible angle. The date, day and the probability of it ever hitting the market has still not been made clear by the company though.
