The up gradation of Android to 2.0 is now not news, it is something that many people, at least people with some insight in the mobile world have come to know of. Also known as Éclair, this version of Android promises a lot of improvements, which were very desperately needed. The camera, browser as well as the Bluetooth are some of the things which really got improved; it is being said that the OS has also been revamped to a great extent.

The many improvements that this version offers are mainly much detailed flash settings, macro shooting mode, scene modes, white balance, color effects and digital zoom. Now before this upgrade this camera did not have all these things due to which the users didn’t know what to do with the camera naturally. But now we can easily say that if there is any camera that is worth buying a phone for, it is this camera without any second thoughts.

There are other general improvements as well. As of v1.6 Android will support various screen resolutions, so it's no longer stuck with HVGA displays. The virtual keyboard has been rearranged to increase accuracy and to further improve typing speed, the multi-touch support lends a hand. The dictionary has also improved to a great extent in the sense that it constantly learns from you and offers contacts names as suggestions.

One thing that was desperately needed in Android's arsenal was a proper Bluetooth support, but with the advent of v2.0, sending files as well the Phone Book Access Profile has become a piece of cake. With the phone book access profile you can download the phonebook with the help of car kits and name of the person whose calling is also displayed on the screen. We even saw a demo, which shows the makings of a Bluetooth multiplayer game too.
