Review: Sony Ericsson Satio

If anyone can do it, Sony Ericsson can as this is one brand that is never afraid to take up new challenges. Sony Ericsson have been pretty busy last year doing loads of stuff right from cutting costs, coming up with their new mobiles, Satio, Aino and Rachael or developing the Symbian and Android. Now the new Sony Ericsson Satio is not only a touchscreen debuting Symbian S60 but also is equipped with a luring 12 megapixel camera.
Sony Ericsson Satio

Well this new set by Sony Ericsson should be good for them as they really need to boost up their finances a little. So the key features are 3.5" 16M-color resistive touchscreen of 640 x 360 pixel resolution, 12 megapixel autofocus camera, LED and xenon flash, active lens cover, VGA@30fps video recording, Symbian OS 9.4 with S60 5th edition UI, spiced up with a home-brewed homescreen and media menu, microSD card slot (up to 32GB), built-in accelerometer, TV out, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, USB and stereo Bluetooth v2.0, Web browser has full Flash support, Preinstalled Wisepilot navigation software and the of course the Office document viewer.

Best things however do not come without their flaws like in this one; the Xenon flash is not sufficiently powerful, there is no 3.5mm audio jack or a standard USB port, no DivX or XviD support out-of-the-box, which is shocking to say but the least, no smart or voice dialing, no office document editing, no stereo speakers and then there is no digital compass, also known as the magnetometer.
It is being said however that with the Symbian S60 touch reincarnation, the most advertised OS on the market; the pressure is on the new Satio to prove itself completely.

With all this competition in the market it is not possible for Sony Ericsson not to fight back. It does so with the sleek Satio, which is equipped with all the latest applications and is willing to show what its worth is.
