Q3 goes outstandingly successful for Apple!October 24th, 2009 - 12:01 am by Wajiha H.
The results achieved by Apple have been anything but outstanding in the last Quarter. They have managed to hit it big with an all time high non-holiday quarter revenue and profit in their history, even when the market was suffering from a downfall. The company managed to get a total income of 9.87 billion US dollars this quarter and net quarterly profit recorded was around 1.67 billion US dollars, improving around 24.9% and 46.5% over the figures of Q3 last year for the same categories.
![]() iPhones played a crucial part definitely, with at least 7 percent rise in sales as compared to last year and in numbers the total amount sold reached around 7.4 million units. These total sales gives this company an obvious market share, making at least 2.1 percent of the whole market and we have to keep in mind that we are discussing sales of the phones which are not easily accessible to all and sundry, making it quite a big achievement. “We are thrilled to have sold more Macs and iPhones than in any previous quarter,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We’ve got a very strong lineup for the holiday season and some really great new products in the pipeline for 2010.” “We are delighted with our September quarter and fiscal 2009 results,” said Peter Oppenheimer, Apple’s CFO. “For the full year, we grew revenue by 12 percent and net income by 18 percent in extraordinarily challenging times. Looking ahead to the first fiscal quarter of 2010, we expect revenue in the range of about $11.3 billion to $11.6 billion and we expect diluted earnings per share in the range of about $1.70 to $1.78.” The sales of Apple have been nothing but remarkable and this is even before the start of the market season, so we can actually hope for a lot better things to be coming the company’s way.
