LG GD510 Pop: A ReviewOctober 23rd, 2009 - 11:17 pm by Wajiha H.
LG Pop is more a device well suited to make you feel pampered instead of actually being different from other sets of this day and age. It’s just another midrange touchscreen but that in no way means that it’s of no good as if you remember well, LG Cookie was a midrange touchscreen too once. Now see where it is!
![]() So the key features of this set are 3.0" 256K-color TFT LCD touchscreen display, 3.15 megapixel fixed focus camera, Quad-band GSM support, Bluetooth with A2DP and microUSB v2.0, microSD card memory expansion , Standard microUSB port, FM radio with RDS, Widget interface and LiveSquare homescreen , Accelerometer sensor for automatic screen rotation and turn-to-mute, Landscape on-screen QWERTY keyboard, Office document viewer, Smart dialing, Long battery life, Optional solar panel battery cover and last but definitely not the least, it is a pretty affordable set. You can start thinking that the LG Pop is just like the Arena-like as far as functionality goes, but be very sure that it isn’t. The only way in which it can actually resemble the Arena is the S-Class-styled main menu; rest of it is pretty much like the Cookie. There are a lot of other things that people might feel the absence of, like the camera autofocus and 3G support. We guess, there's no reason to construe the GD510 Pop as an upgrade to the LG KP500 Cookie. The Pop is not and upgrade to the LG KP500 Cookie in anyway, it’s just another pretty LG affordable touchscreen. The pop has been called an environmental friendly phone as well due to its adherence to the color green. The LG Cookie has always been hugely appreciated for the style, and something tells us that the new LG Pop is going to follow suit but due to the increased expectations is under a lot of pressure as well.
